Weekly Price High

Hey there - new to quantopian and programming. I am trying to use the history function to pull the daily maximum prices for a specific equity but I can't figure out how to get the history function to zero in on the equity. Anyone have sample code that does this?

Thanks!
Stefan

Welcome Stefan,

The history() function returns a pandas DataFrame. This DataFrame has columns and indexes, where the columns are the Securities and the indexes are the date times. To get the history for a specific security you need to use that security as a key. For example...

stock = symbol("AAPL")

price_history = history(5, "1d", "close_price")

aapl_history = price_history[stock]

Now aapl_history is just the close price history for AAPL. Try printing the DataFrame to get a better view, of what it looks like.
