Using Research Notebook -- Error

I'm getting the following error when using the research notebook:

"A connection to the notebook server could not be established. The notebook will continue trying to reconnect, but until it does, you will NOT be able to run code. Check your network connection or notebook server configuration."

Anyone have any ideas as to why or what a potential solution may be? Thanks.

I have problem with Research Notebook too. Every time when open it writes: 'Соеденение сброшено'(Connection lost, i think)

I get this error in firefox:-

The page isn’t redirecting properly

An error occurred during a connection to research-i-0af5fc9fb3935e33b.prd.int.dynoquant.com.

This problem can sometimes be caused by disabling or refusing to accept cookies.

And chrome says:-

www.quantopian.com redirected you too many times.

Is everyone's notebook working? I am on macOS using Safari and it stopped working in the past 2 days.

@Alexander Katyk There was a brief infrastructure issue that caused problems with some notebooks on 4-3-2020. That issue has been resolved and everything should be working now.

What kind of problems are you experiencing?

Not connecting (often accompanied by the 403 or FORBIDDEN error) is typically a browser settings issue. Quantopian's research environment relies on third party cookies and cross site tracking to protect user's intellectual property. Those two features must be enabled in your browser. Not having these enabled can cause issues. There have been a number of updates to common browsers lately which may have changed past settings.

Safari in specific has begun more stringent checks to prevent cross site hacking. So, maybe try this. In the Safari preferences page, go to the privacy menu. Make sure cross site tracking is unchecked. Under some circumstances this needs to be checked. Try it both ways. Also ensure that both quantopian.com and dynoquant.com domains are whitelisted (those are the two domains that Quantopian uses).

Hope that helps.

Thank you for the reply. There was no error message - it was just blank after trying to load the notebook. I still had the top and bottom frames of screen load - just the Jupyter part didn't load and blanked out (white).

The cross site tracking actually worked! When I unchecked it, it loaded Jupyter. Thank you!
