trade SPY after 4pm?

i read in some book that SPY trades until 4:15pm. does quantopian let us access this extra 15 min timeframe?

Hi Jason,

Quantopian doesn't currently support after hours trading, though you are correct that many exchange traded instruments do trade after hours. Quantopian runs our live trading during "normal market hours" for the US exchanges which is 9:30am - 4:00pm on a full trading day. Also note that in live trading orders placed on the very last 'bar' of the day (the 3:59pm - 4:00pm bar) are cancelled as there is no subsequent bar for the order to be filled on. Also, SPY after-market trades later than 4:15. You are probably thinking of the S&P futures which trade until 4:15.
