Thrustable algorithm for Trading? Does anyone...

Dear All,
I am a newcomer into this community and I would like to ask the following: does anyone have an algorithm that DOES really work, at least for a certain period of time. For example "the best algorithm" shown up in our community gives back about 600 USD cash with 1000 USD initial investment at the end of 2-3 weeks. After that you lose 40 % of your cash. This implies that you must follow with close attention what is going on and have faith... If your answer is positive, could you share that algorithm for each one of us gain some bucks, while we try more genial approaches?... James Simons (Foudantion) obtained his huge fortune with an algorithm still in use at his company Renaissance Technologies. Thank you.

There is a wide variety of algorithms shared in the community. You can search for a specific keywords (live trading, fundamentals, mean reversion, seasonal etc.) to find a more concrete example. Here's an algo that we have running on our real money account: https://www.quantopian.com/posts/rebalance-algo-9-sector-etfs

Cheers,
Alisa
