I completely lost ability to search all my algo by keywords except 10 I see.

I would like to hear from those who is behind last improvements:
What is the purpose?
What about custom option to set the number of algos on the page to 100 or more?

Hi Vladimir:

I'm sorry for the issues you are experiencing.

On the load failure, we're investigating that right now. We'll get to the bottom of it soon.

On the ability to search - we agree that is an unfortunate UX regression. We are actively working on solving that.

thanks,
Jean

Today, out of 25 attempts to open My Algorithms none was successful.

Jean,

I just want to remind you something good from the past..

WelthLabDeveloper (Quantopian's grandpa) 15 years ago had ability in milliseconds to search by keywords not only my scripts but all publicly available scripts and not only by script name or user name but by any keyword inside any script.

Is this a feature or a restriction (not to write too many algos)? If you have 100+ algos it will involve too many clicks to get to some of the older algos. Any chance the pagination factor (currently 10 per page) can be made configurable or bumped up to a higher number like 100 or an option to go back to single page view of all algos be provided.

Hi @Vladimir:

I’m sorry about the inconvenience you faced in getting to the /algorithms page. Our goal was to make a series of incremental changes to the Algorithms page to make it easier to use, but in making those incremental changes, we left the UI in a bad state, and left it unusable for users who had high numbers of algorithms and backtests. I apologize for the trouble.

Today, we’ve made a series of improvements that should help:

  • Performance improvements to the /algorithms page for users with high numbers of algorithms. We expect that the page should load successfully now. If in case it doesn’t, please feel free to post here, email [email protected], or message me personally through the platform and we’ll get it fixed ASAP.
  • There’s a search bar on the algorithms page that allows you to search by keyword. You can search both by algo name (eg: “My fundamentals algo”), or the last modified column (eg: “3 days ago”).
  • We’ve made the pagination factor configurable, so that you can paginate in blocks of 10, 25, 50 or 100 algos (the default is 25), which both you and @Leo M had requested.

I hope that the changes improve the page’s usability, and appreciate your patience. Feedback, both good and bad, is always very helpful for us. We’re hoping to make usability improvements to this page in the future, and will take particular care to make sure they don’t break for users with high numbers of algorithms. Please let me know if the page is working as expected again.

Hi Abhijeet, thanks a lot for making those changes so quickly, tested the search feature and it looks great. One minor request, is it possible to preserve (i.e remember) the setting of pagination dropdown number once it is selected by the user so that we don't have to reenter it every time we load the "My algorithms" page. This will be very helpful for users with a lot of algorithms. Thanks!

Abhijeet,

Please let me know if the page is working as expected again.

My algorithm page for me load only live trading algo and nothing to Algorithms.

Hi Leo,

It's definitely on our queue to add! We expect to ship it some time soon (possibly in the next couple weeks or less) along with other improvements to the algorithms page.

Hi Vladimir,

Can you let me know what browser you're using, and what the output of the error console is when you load the page? I also sent you a message via Quantopian in case you'd like to communicate directly with me.

Abhijeet,

what browser you're using

I have tried in:
Frefox 56.0.2(64-bit)

IE 11 11.0.9600.18816IC

Safari 5.1.7(7534.57.2)

Results are the same.
