I want to test for Survivorship bias.
How/Where can I get a stock prices for stocks that went bankrupt? Like Lehman, GM, Bear Stearns?

Hi Raul,
Our security database has both current and former securities in it. For example, if you type sid(
in the IDE to enable the SID search and then type general motors
, you'll see that there are four different security IDs for general motors. You could then write your algorithm to trade on whichever of those SIDs is active at any given point in time. I've attached a backtest which illustrates this.
This backtest also illustrates that historically speaking, GM has not been a good investment. ;-)

I just noticed that my comment in the backtest source code is wrong. I wrote, "There are other SIDs for GIM; this is the last one", when I should have written, "These are the four SIDs for GM." Please disregard the bad comment.
