Swing/ Day trade algorithm

Hello All,

I'm new to this group and overwhelmed to see all such nice people here. I am a software engineer with Java, c# and little bit of Phython skill. New to Algorithmic trading. I just started browsing all the older posts but appreciate if someone can please direct me to some swing/ day trading algorithm to start with. Many thanks

@Anin D., If I'm not mistaken swing trading (and some day trading) is looking to identify and capture short pulse moves in securities that are either temporarily mispriced or are gearing up for quick directional moves. Such price spurts being identified by channel breakouts, failed breakouts, reversals, support/resistance breakouts or failures, and any number of various technical patterns usually identified on singular securities. There are no doubt some of those here, somewhere. I've built a few myself. But for the most part you'll find that the primary technique here is statistical basket trading. At least, of those algos that are shared. Who knows what the silent majority have built and are playing at in the Open.

If you have a specific swing pattern you're looking for then perhaps we could help you look or make recommendations.

Thanks a lot Market Tech. I am looking for a swing pattern based on some popular indicator like MACD, Moving Average cross over, Support/ Resistance etc. If you can please point me to some of those algos then that would be extremely helpful for me and highly appreciated.

Anin, welcome! Check out these threads to get a head start on your idea:
