Sources for fundamental equities data?

I am a new member of the Quantopian community. My investment strategy focuses primarily on fundamental stock data. I was wondering if anyone is aware of an external source for fundamental US and international equities data that can be pulled in to build an algorithm on Quantopian? I'd be willing to pay a reasonable price for the data, although I obviously can't afford the annual subscription fee for a Bloomberg terminal.

Hi John,

We've had several other requests to add fundamental data to the platform and we're excited about the feedback. I haven't played around with it yet, but Quandl recently offered a free API for stock prices and fundamental data: http://www.quandl.com/help/api-for-stock-data. Maybe someone else in the community has another source they've used.

Once you have a CSV file, you can use Fetcher to import the data directly into your algorithm and use as a trading signal for your securities in backtesting and live trading.

As we work through the beta of the product, we keep expanding the feature set that we're delivering. We'd like to add fundamentals as we continue to grow!
