Site Outage Tonight at 5pm EDT - April 8, 2014

Hi Everyone,

At 5pm EDT today (April 8th), we will be taking the site down to complete our security patching for the recently discovered "Heartbleed" bug. During this time the forums, IDE, live algo dashboard will be unavailable. However, our blog will remain up while the main site is down for maintenance. On the blog, you can read our synopsis of the issue and see regular updates as they happen.

In addition to our blog, we've created a status page that is hosted completely independently from all of our services. You can check http://status.quantopian.com at any time to see service availability, incidents, and response times. I suggest you bookmark it for future reference.

Thank you for your patience as we (and the rest of the internet) apply these patches.

We've completed all the necessary maintenance without incident, and Quantopian is once again fully operational.

I want to stress again that we have no reason to believe that any of our or our members' data or accounts were compromised. All of the maintenance tasks we've completed today were precautionary measures.
