Hello all,

We had a security issue that resulted in an intruder being able to see several dozen of our members' names, email addresses, and encrypted passwords, as well as what IP addresses they registered and most recently logged in from. Passwords and intellectual property were not compromised.

We emailed the members affected. If you didn't get an email, your account information wasn't one of the ones that was viewed.

We have a lot more information about this posted on our blog. Quoting the blog, "The protection of our members’ intellectual property is one of our core promises, and we take it very seriously. We want our members to trust us with their intellectual property. We believe that the best way to earn your trust is by being transparent with you about Quantopian. We hope that we can continue to earn your trust, even when we are sharing unpleasant news."
