Rotating Top NEW Brands

Does anyone have any ideas of how to get back data on the top "n" brands? I'm thinking of an algorithm that would use a ranking system top brands. The idea is that Amazon wasn't always a top 100 name brand, same with Google and Netflix. For example, this site seems to keep an updated list of the USA top brands and has historical back data.

Maybe take a starting baseline and only include new brands making the list into the portfolio for the first time, keep them in the portfolio unless they come out of the top "n".

NetFlix made the top 100 list for the first time in 2017, up 284%
LVMHF (Dior) made the top 100 list for the first time in 2016, up 297%
TSLA made the list for the first time in 2016, up 602%
Facebook in 2012, up 350%
SalesForce in 2017, up 352%
UBER in 2019, down 25.5% (maybe it will be a big winner after COVID)

My guess is that the performance would do MUCH better if we had a reliable historic list of the top 500 USA brands.
