Hi,
I found an idea, I would like to back-test, and then forward-test, for my young daughter, as a relatively safe intro. to investing :-
- Add up all the years that the company has paid a dividend in the last decade.
- Then add up all the years that it was profitable
- Then add up all the years where it made a record high in sales, earnings and dividends per share.
The universe would be either current FTSE 100, or S&P 500 stocks and then she would choose only companies with scores of 30 down to, say, 27
please could you advise how she could do this ?
Thank you very much in advance.
