I try to plots things on minute time scales using record. However, the graph only shows record on daily time scales.
Am i missing something?
Record cannot plots things on minute time scales
The record method only saves the last value each day and plots it on a daily time scale. The values can also be fetched in a notebook but they will also only be the last value for each day. See the documentation at https://www.quantopian.com/docs/api-reference/algorithm-api-reference#quantopian.algorithm.record
There isn't really a way to capture user-defined minute level data in a backtest. What is the use case and what are you trying to do? The notebook environment is really better suited for analysis.
