Hi I am doing it for couple weeks already. it is accurate as your algorithm :) Just an advise creaet a 2nd account because if not Interactive Brokers will disconect you or your algo every time that you access.

We launched live trading over a year ago, and since then we've had many algorithms place trades with Interactive Brokers. Generally we don't share platform statistics, but last May we posted a blog post that over $100 million in customer money was traded through the platform.

In October we announced we're launching a crowd-sourced hedge fund. The top-performing algorithms on the platform will be selected and matched with outside investor capital. In order to be considered, your algorithm must be trading with real money for at least 6 months to develop a track record.

To piggy back Erick's post, check out the live trading FAQ to see how to add a 2nd login account. If you have other questions, feel free to follow up!

Hi Alisa

My question was not how much money was traded but how accurate was execution.
I raised the questions because in one of my algo as it was bactested the orders were executed on not market days
Data or backtesting engine bug.

Why not to create inside Quantopian virtual accounts and if I connect my algo to it I may see what the orders were generated and how they were executed and if not I may ask why?

Ah, I had followed up in that thread. Take a look there and let me know if the answer makes sense!

Over the past year I haven't heard of any problems with the live trading order execution. You're welcome to test out the system and data feed by connecting your IB paper account before setting up your real money account.
