if you use the debugger to stop code on line 21 and look at the high_daily data object the stock series all show up, but the data in each series is not correct - it is almost identical (though not quite. Is this a debugger issue??

Believe this is a known bug. I notice the same thing. If you examine each row in the dataframe instead (history[sec]) you will see the correct numbers.
Yes, this is a bug in the debugger (heh) where the history data isn't being displayed properly. It's on our radar to fix, and in the meantime Matt suggested a good workaround.
