Quantopian software release time cycle ?

What is the quantopian software update cycle?

How often does software get updated?

Bug fixes vs feature cycle?

Just trying to gauge the timeline I can expect to see a feature or a bug fix for a problem

Saravanan et al,

We are an agile shop, which means among other things (for those of you who don't know) that we release updates whenever they're ready, and not on any particular schedule or cycle.

Our release methodology doesn't distinguish between bug fixes and new features. Everything gets released when it's ready.

There are obviously some practical limitations on when we can do releases. For example, while the market is open we wouldn't release updates for the code that runs people's live-trading algorithms, unless we discovered an extremely urgent issue or bug that absolutely required an immediate fix.

Just to give you a high-level idea... we've deployed seven updates to our front-end code in the past week, and three updates to our algorithm execution servers in the past two weeks.
