Quantopian Friendly Broker Recommendations

I apologize if this is a repeat on a previous forum discussion, but since I was unable to locate any posts on the subject I figured I would start a new, more current one. I feel as if I'm ready to go live with a real money brokerage account, but before I do I thought I would check in with you all to try to tap your vast knowledge base before I inadvertantly make unnecessary rookie mistakes.

Any "gotchas" that you all have discovered that I should be aware of?

Any brokers that you all would recommend that work seemlessly with Quantopian algorithms for US Equity trading?

Thank you in advance!

Matthew,

There are only 2 brokers that can currently (as of today) be used with Quantopian. These are Interactive Brokers and Robinhood.

Whatever happened to the Schwab integration anyway?

Thank you guys for the info. I have since applied to start my IB account and am waiting on the review.

Does anyone know if we are able to do the paper trading on the IB side?

I know they gave me a simulation account, but I can't seem to get my algorithm to establish a connection to it so I was wondering if it's just me.

Paper Trade works, IB provides you different account names for paper trade and real money, so you might be using the real money account name instead of the paper trade account...that is at least one thing to test out.
