QuantCon live stream campaign

Hi all,

QuantCon.com has been sold out for about week. That's left many hopeful attendees without a ticket, in addition to the many of you who are too far away to join us for the day in New York.

While we can't replace the value of meeting other community members in person, we can broadcast talks from the main stage. The online version will be successful if we have a critical mass of viewers who can also chat online during the presentations. We're shooting for 100 viewers, and we're running an IndieGoGo campaign to facilitate it all.

Aside from the live streaming, will you be providing on-demand access to recordings of the talks after the event?

Also, what options do I have on Indiegogo to be able to subscribe for the live stream? Do I have to select the minimum $25 option in order to be able to watch the live stream, or can I subscribe with a lower amount and still be able to watch the live stream (or an on-demand one, if it might be available)?

The live streaming will be following the talks in Wharton Hall. Anyone who donated $25 or more in the IndieGoGo campaign will have a link to the live video feed.

Thanks Alisa. How can we access the recorded sessions? Will they be available only to those who had subscribed to the live feed?

The recorded sessions will be available later after the event, not immediately. Once we have them ready we'll share with the community.

Is access to the recorded sessions included as part of our paid QuantCon tickets?

That would make choosing session tracks easier! :).

Hi Ken, As Alisa mentioned above, we'll be recording talks in the Wharton and Tribeca rooms only - those recordings will be available with early access to anyone with a paid ticket (in person or for the live streaming access) and at a delayed release date they will be freely available to anyone. So unfortunately (or fortunately depending on your view) there are still a lot of tough choices to make in person!

Great Jess - that was the nuance I was asking about, confirming that ticket holders had access to the recordings already without extra payment.
