Q: dynamic universe

Hi guys,

I am new to quantopian.I have a question:

Does anyone have any tips on what is the best way to set universe dynamically? For example, I want to focus on 100 stocks that has gained the most in previous day, which changes everyday.

Thanks & have a good one,

thanks Derek. I know it can be done with fetcher and I will go with that for now.

However, I think it would be a lot cleaner if set_universe is upgraded to allow customize filtering based on historical data. That would be very handy. Do you know if quantopian has plan to do so in the near future?

Thanks & have a good one,

Hi Anh,

We're actively working on a big new feature that will include a new way to update your universe. Stay tuned - it should be out in the near term.
