Practice MC and Finite Difference coding projects

I am new to the world of Quant and I am looking for some programming projects to start. Can some one recommend grad level final project type of practice to me?

Thanks

Here's one of the more extensive lists of ideas:

Also, if you skim down through the blog (http://blog.quantopian.com/), you'll find some links to posted algorithms.

Hi Alex,
One place I like to look is http://quant.stackexchange.com/. There is a lot of good discussion there that you can probably spark some ideas from.

You should also look into getting a book: https://www.quantopian.com/posts/curriculum-of-study-slash-books.
