Possible ways of structuring multiple IB accounts for separate algos and/or family

I know Quantopian uses a "prop" model here:

https://www.quantopian.com/posts/ib-proprietary-trading-account-mechanics-of-linking-sub-accounts-to-quantopian-algos

As a Canadian, I might also want to manage accounts of friends and family, but it looks like Quantopian doesn't has no plans to support Advisory accounts, so I guess it would have to be informal and/or a full hedge fund structure, even if closed.

Neglecting that concern, I could, for myself, just set up new accounts and fund them separately, with two user ids each, one for the gateway/Quantopian and one for observation and (god forbid) intervention.

Are there any other details to be aware of? What sorts of structures are those folks with several live algos using for this?

Thanks,

Simon.
