Please help with filter and custom factor

want to filter values using the isfinite () filter inside a custom factor, but I couldn't do it.
I use the custom factor inside a make_pipeline () and still get infinite values. Could you help me solve this? Got me stuck

thanks you!

The issue is with the statement

    inputs = [morningstar.Fundamentals.financial_assets.latest.isfinite()]

The isfinite() method creates a new filter object from the factor. This filter has values of True/False. It does not modify the factor or return only values where the factor is finite. To filter, or mask, the infinite values I would do it as a separate step using the mask parameter of the top method. Like this

    # set the input to the dataset (not a filter)
    asset = chg_inc(inputs=[morningstar.Fundamentals.financial_assets], window_length=200)

    # filter for just finite values.
    top = asset.top(5, mask=asset.isfinite())

See the attached notebook. Good luck.
