Pipeline Returning Unusable Securities

Hello All,
I have just recently started to encounter a problem with the pipeline where the results it returns have no present data. For example, at the moment, I am running the pipeline and returning price and volume, screening for price between 1 and 100, and sorting by highest volume. Handle_data then checks the pervious day's price (same thing that the pipeline is returning) and the price at 8:31am via data.history. When I run my backtest, I almost immediately get this message:

         IOError: [Errno None] None: None
There was a runtime error on line 95.

Now when I run my code, the runtime error alternates between line 95 (previous day's price check) and line 97 (data.history current price check).

I'm okay with throwing out that security from the pipeline list, but I don't think this IOError is normal, and I don't know how to deal with it since it isn't a normal exception.

Hi James,

Without seeing any of the code, it's difficult to help troubleshoot this one. What makes you think it's tied to a particular security? Do you have a reproducible example that you could share? It doesn't necessarily have to be your full algo, just something that gives that error message.

Alternatively, you could email in to [email protected] for private help.

Jamie
