Paper trading/sentiment analysis

Hi,

If I wanted to use sentiment analysis on a paper trade, which scanned certain websites once a day, are any libraries like beautiful soup available, or would I need to do the analysis on my own server and generate a csv to check with my quantopian algo?

Best Regards,

Adam.

P.S. Thanks for the t-shirt! Been wearing it round Belfast ;)

If you want to backtest an idea you can use the historical data for Wikipedia page views.

They don't have every python module because of security reasons. But they will take requests.

Here is a list of modules supported already.

Otherwise yes you will have to roll your own csv.

P.S. reply: We demand pictures ;)
