When creating an algorithm, it can be important to know how to gauge the financial health of a company. This is typically done by using various financial data concerning the companies within your investment universe. One place to get this data is through financial documents, including the income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow statement.
We have released a video on each of the key financial statements that cover the basics of understanding these documents from a quantitative perspective. The videos go over the general layout of each document, their purpose within finance, some of the information that can be gained from each, and how they can be used on Quantopian.
