order target percent short

how can i go short with a target_percent order?
are short positions counted a negative portfolio/position value or positive?

Hi Jakob,

You can use a positive or negative amount with any ordering method. If you say,

order_target_percent(sid(24), -0.1)

then 10% of your portfolio is dedicated to shorting Apple stock. The same style can be used with any of the order_target family methods. When you are shorting a position, it is a negative portfolio position value.

Cheers,
Alisa
