Notebooks are not loading

Notebooks are not loading. Both "Research -> Notebooks" tab or from the new backtest tab are not loading. Could you please look into it.

Thanks.

Hi Leo,

We're aware of the "Notebooks" tab being inaccessible from the backtest analysis screen and have a fix queued up in our testing environment.

I'm able to access notebooks otherwise, through other means. Can you email [email protected] with further information if you're still unable to access Research?

Thanks
Josh

Hi Josh,

Looks like the problem was solved for past few days, but today again I can't load notebooks. Did the problem reappear.

I can't list notebooks both on the new backtest page and from the "Research" tab selection "Notebooks" at the top of the page.

Please take a look.

Thanks,
Leo

Can't seem to load notebooks from Research --> Notebooks tab

@Sai Sorry to hear that research is giving you trouble. There currently isn't anything on the Q side which should be keeping notebooks from loading. Quantopian's research environment relies on third party cookies and cross site tracking to protect user's intellectual property. Because of this, we find it's often a browser not playing well which keeps notebooks from loading.

Here are some browser specific instructions which may help to get research working:

Chrome: In preferences, find the cookies menu. Enable the switch that says "Allow sites to save and read cookie data (Recommended)", and disable the "Block third party cookies" switch.

Firefox: In preferences, find the cookies and site data menu. Check the box that says "Accept cookies and site data from websites" and make sure the box that blocks Third-Party Cookies is unchecked.

Safari: In preferences, go to the privacy menu. Make sure cross site tracking is unchecked.

If none of these things work for you, try disabling all extensions, and re-enabling them one a time to find which one is causing the breakage. If you find one that is causing our site to break, try whitelisting Quantopian.com and Dynoquant.com. Both of those domains are used by research.

Hope that helps, and again, sorry to hear you're having problems.
