I would like to implement a strategy that requires regular rebalancing, but since I have a day job, I want to be able to submit orders on Sunday night for Monday's regular trading hours.
The stocks that I want to trade may have poor liquidity and large bid/ask spreads. In my experience, doing a market buy order for even a small order tends result in prices worst than the ask price it was submitted to.
Any thoughts on the type of order that I can use that will get be a fairer price? I currently am registered with IB and have been looking into midpoint match and pegged to midpoint orders (even though I can't even select them from the trading platform). Any thoughts on those? Any other suggestions?
