Non-proffessional Advisor: Account Group

In IB accounts may function as non-professional advisors (note: advisor account numbers are preceded by the letter “F”, not “U”).

Non-professional advisors may manage a small number of family accounts. Such (kids', siblings') accounts may be grouped in IB. Each group is then given a name.

See IB doc here. Additional information pertaining to Advisor API appears in IB API manual, chapter 4.

Once giving user-name and password in order to log in into the advisor account, all orders may be issued to the group name, and not necessarily to any specific account.

When such group orders are marked as “NetLiq” IB distributes shares based on the net liquidation value of each account in the group. The system calculates ratios based on the Net Liquidation value in each account and allocates shares based on these ratios.

Do Quantopian support / intend to support working live in non-professional advisor mode?
