No VIX Index data avaliable after Feb 26 2016?

Hi

I found the latest VIX index data I received from quantopian.interactive.data.quandlis on Feb 26 2016. Does quantopian stop provide VIX index data? How can I get the full dataset?

Thanks!

Hi Bob

It's a known issue that the .latest Factor doesn't work for that particular dataset, so you'll need to access VIX pricing data using a CustomFactor:

class VIX_open(CustomFactor):
    inputs = [cboe_vix.vix_open]
    window_length = 1
    def compute(self, today, assets, out, vix):
        out[:] = vix[-1]

(This CustomFactor is for vix_open specifically, you can change as needed for your use case.)

I hope this helps; please let us know if you're still having issues accessing the dataset!

Hi Cal

Thanks for your post. It seems CustomFactor is used for pipeline data. If I want to use the interactive data, what is the work around?

Thanks
