New Feature: Member to Member Messaging

We've had a lot of requests for ways to enable our members to work together and collaborate.

The first step on that is permitting members to reach out to each other. That is now an option!

  1. Click on any member's profile
  2. Click "send message"
  3. Quantopian will deliver your message to the member, including your email address as the reply-to
  4. Any subsequent messaging is just regular email messages. It is up to the receiving member whether or not they wish to reply and reveal their email address in return.

It should be pretty simple - let me know if you have any questions. A few other notes:

  • You are limited to 5 messages per day. That number may be adjusted in the future depending on feedback.
  • If you do not wish to receive any messages, you can disable the feature by going to your Profile >> Edit >> Preferences.

I think this is a great idea. Now it is even more important that each member fills his profile with some info on his skills and experience...
