Need help writing Algo???

hi

am new to this world of code and algos but keen to try out some trading ideas i have, do not have any understanding of code, its a different language to me, no idea where to start!
looking to try a long/short algo for s&p 500 stocks, with stop losses, trailing stops and profit targets included.

any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hello Jio,

Do you have any programming experience? If not, you'll need to pick up some basics. There's a recent discussion on the topic: https://www.quantopian.com/posts/learning-python.

If you describe your trading ideas in detail here, someone might be inclined to write an algorithm to test them, and share the algorithm with the community.
