Here's a backtest where turnover shows up to 6800%. Would like to understand turnover better to address it.
Backtest id: 5a95d4264cb63649716a29f0
Input was at 1M instead of 10M by mistake.
Checking turnover limits...
FAIL: Mean turnover range of 4042.01%-6800.80% is not between 5.0%-65.0%.
Daily turnover 5820.4%
How can turnover exceed 100% * 50?
Seems that would be trading all stocks 50 times a day or something.
It's a lot like this with trades near EOD, some of those at open, then close soon and not holding any for most of the day.
On the 6000%+ max turnover, what does it mean in simple terms? An example with 100 stocks might be helpful.
Some info on turnover around here and on that page:
Mean Daily Turnover 5% to 65% Trailing 90 days. schedule_function, tearsheet
