Looking for Samples

Hi there,
I've been on Quantopian for a while but I have just recently started dabbling in writing my own code. Unfortunately, I have a large amount of trouble working with python and utilizing the right commands. I was wondering if you all could share some fairly simple pieces of code that I could refer to for understanding how algorithms on Quantopian work. The code itself doesn't have to produce proper returns or anything, as long as the logic behind the code is understood on my part. I would be grateful for anything. Thank you!

I've actually already been through the tutorials and was looking for some user made starters. Thanks for the response anyway.

Thanks Dan that's exactly what I was looking for!
