How do I limit my algorithm to only one buy and one sale a day?

There are a couple ways to go about doing this. The easiest way is to use the built-in trading guards to limit the amount of orders you can place in a day, which limits the absolute number of orders you place in a day and doesn't differentiate between longs and shorts. A different, but more explicit way, is to create your own trading guards and check whether you've placed a long and a short in that day.
