Is quantopian.globalewallet.com fake?

Hi guys, I keep receiving some notifications from this website asking me to register an account. Can someone tell me if it's a fraud site?

This is the site Q uses to pay out the prize money won in the Contest. If you've placed in the top 10 in the contest, this is how you'd get your cash prize paid out.

Well, that's some good news for me.. I guess Q should make it more clear to the winners about the prize payout process..

You can reference the contest rules docs through ... https://www.quantopian.com/contest/rules

Thanks, but it doesn't mention about globalewallet at all...

Hi all, these are legitimate emails from i-payout, the service provider we use to pay out contest winners. Thanks for notifying us of the potentially fraudulent feeling they gave you - we'll investigate improving the communication.

Feel free to reach out to [email protected] if you have any questions or concerns as you continue your registration.

@ Robert, is there a specific time window in which one would need to extra their winning from I-Payout? Or can I let it build up until its at a particular and then withdraw?

Thanks

After 6 months, they will charge some fees. I think this is mentioned in their fee policy, which is the reason I keep receiving notifications ..

@Robert, I sent an email to that address regarding some specific issues yesterday. No response yet... Could you help me have a check?

@Daniel, Yiwen is right, there is a 6-month window to collect unclaimed winnings. Additionally, you can collect any unclaimed winnings up to 2 times per month. Collecting winnings more than twice per month incurs a transaction fee. To learn more about transaction fees, navigate to your eWallet and click 'Fees' at the bottom of the page.

@Yiwen, we're working on responding to your email soon.
