Hi, I am interested in the opportunities for investing money in trading strategies hosted on Quantopian but can't find much info on this website.

How can I invest in trading strategies? Is there a minimum investment amount or are they only looking for big investors? Are there any fees? As an investor, can I actively select my own portfolio of trading strategies or is it a passive fund?

I also noticed that Quantopian has a "live trading" feature which allows you to connect to your broker account. From what I understand, this is only for algo developers to trade with their own trading strategy, it is not designed to trade other people's strategies. Is that correct?

Sorry for all the newbie questions, I couldn't find this info anywhere on the website.

John, you got money? I need money, maybe we can talk.

But basically, i think you got it right. If I had to guesstimate, i would guess the following. they are interested in $1M+, their fees is probably 1-2% plus 20% of the profits (10% goes to the algo dev, and 10% goes to Quantopian).

I have more like $50k to invest but would want to test it out first with a smaller amount, maybe $5k. I have also been looking at Collective2, it seems it might be more appropriate for this sized investment.

John, can you tell me more about C2? most importantly, what is their slippage and commission model?

I haven't used C2 before, just investigating at this stage. From what I can see on their website, they charge $99/month for access and the algo developers set their own fees for subscribing to their signals.
