You can use the built-in Quantopian functions to set your commissions and slippage. I haven't seen someone model the functionality yet, but you can get the short sell interest information into your algo via Fetcher. No one has done this, but theoretically you can disable our commission model and write your own custom model. I'd be interested in seeing that coded up!
