You may be looking for

net_income_growth
The growth in the company’s net income on a percentage basis.

Take a look at the documentation here https://www.quantopian.com/docs/data-reference/morningstar_fundamentals#net-income-growth . It should be the percentage increase (or decrease) in the trailing twelve months (TTM) of net_income. Run it in pipeline and see if it fetches numbers similar to what you are expecting.

Dan,

i do look for net_profit_growth_rate.

Generally net profit and net income are used interchangeably and mean the same thing. There is a pretty good definition of it here https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Net_income . Specifically, net income is defined as

net_income = gross sales – (customer discounts + returns + allowances) – cost of goods sold – total operating expenses – taxes – interest

What is the definition you are using for net profit? That may help to identify another field(s) which could be used.

Dan,
thanks. they are the samething.
