How to access stock prices post sell

Hi,

I plan to long/short stocks at market open and sell all of my stocks everyday a minute before market close. I was wondering if there was a way to access the price at which I sold my stocks after doing so. I want to get some statistics on how well my algo is working so I need the buying and selling price to evaluate my day's work. What is the best way to do this using the Quantopian platform?

Thanks,
Daniel

Hi Daniel,

Thanks for posting. Unfortunately, there's currently no way for your algorithm to get any information about a position after it has been closed out, including the price at which it was sold. This is something that others have requested as well, and I've added you to the tally.

If you're looking to analyze your algorithm's performance, I would encourage you to try creating a tearsheet in Research; it's an easy way to get a lot of helpful information, including on performance with specific assets.
