Is it possible to do trading in any form with Indian markets? Moreover can Indian users invest in US markets using this platform?
We only support US equities at this time. We will add other instruments in the future - Indian markets are probably a ways off, though, because we see more demand for futures, forex, and options.
Quantopian doesn't restrict by country. The limiting factor for live trading is that you have to have a brokerage account with Interactive Brokers.
Backtesting, this community, etc. is free to everyone, not just people with brokerage accounts.
