I searched articles in the forum, but I still haven't got the correct answer.
I want to write a screener to help me screen some longs and short equities after the market close.
As shown in the backtest,however, I can only get last Friday's close price..
So my question is, is there anyway to get today's price? (today is Monday, and market has been closed for 10hours)
Generally, the most recent day's pricing data is available 8 or 9 hours after close. We had a problem with our data provider last night and the data was delayed by a few hours. 10 hours after close would usually be fine.
Operationally, we need the previous day's data available at 8:45 AM Eastern so we can run before_trading_starts() on our algorithms, so the data is ready by then in almost all situations.
