How can a monitor remotely if my algo is running live and remote logging?

Hi,

Is there a mechanism to monitor via nagios or something similar if my algo is running or not and detect that manual intervention is needed?

Also, how do I log to a remote filesystem so that if the algo stops working or your site goes down I know what orders are open, assuming I'm logging my buys and sells?

Thanks,
Andrew

Hi Andrew,

We don't currently have external notifications from a live algorithm, but it's on our radar and we'd like to move towards that goal. In the future, we'd like to have SMS/email notifications during the trading day and perhaps an end-of-day email summary. It's a request we've heard before from others and one we're excited about!

We monitor the live algorithms during the trading day, and if something goes wrong, we will immediately alert you via email. We're pretty responsive and keep a close eye on the activity.

Best,
Alisa

Perhaps an app just to monitor the performance?
