Hi Arlen,

I'm glad to hear you have had some success in Research mode. If you are having trouble getting started in the Algorithm development environment, don't worry, you are not the first! To help you out, you might like to check out the Quantopian Tutorial Series. This should help you get started.

Thx Jamie,

Very helpful response, after I tried to learned in these couple days... for better sincerely reply. It did help me a lot to know more about algorithms mode, except for the tiny writing mistake on the docs update processing maybe... anyway, it was really helpful. thanks a lot~!

for the further inquire, I like pandas because it's easily help me to control the df, such as slice, calculating.... and more convenient way is I can command and output my results immediately to judge the right and wrong.....BUT in fetch_csv is really like docs said: a beast of its own. for me it was hard to figured out where is my fault...especially my csv has many columns for correlation calculating and function using, could you give me any advice on control my fetch_csv dataframe in a visualize mode ??? It will be very helpfully for a fresher amateur quants .... :)

If you are having trouble with fetch_csv, I would suggest you take a look at the overview and the example of Fetcher in our help docs. If you are still stuck after going through these, I encourage you to share a version of your code on the forum or reach out to us through [email protected] so that we can help you find the specific problem!

Unfortunately we do no offer any sort of visual mode to look through your dataframes, but if you use our debugger (breakpoints + build algorithm button), you can inspect variables at different points of your code which would give you a textual glimpse of the dataframe at a given point.
