Hi all,

We are aware of this issue, and will hopefully have a fix soon.

Thanks for flagging the error.

I see this thread is 5 months old, I too am receiving this error currently. Was this ever fixed?

Hi Sharif,

The issue mentioned above should be fixed. I tried running the notebook again and it worked for me. I also tried looking through our internal logs, but I can't seem to find an entry with the Permission denied error. Can you send me the exact error message that you are getting? It's possible that there is an issue with the data on your Research server. It would help if I can search our logs with the exact error that you're seeing.

Thanks,
Jamie

I just tried it again and didn't receive the error, but I copied the last line of the error before attempting to run the cell again

IOError: [Errno 13] Permission denied: '/mnt/findata/equity.dailies/2019-06-17/equity_daily_bars.bcolz/rootdirs'

the code I ran was the following

df = get_pricing('spy', start_date = '2003-01-01',end_date = '2019-01-15', frequency = 'daily')
close = df['close_price'].values

Thanks Sharif,

That's helpful. We can take a look. In the meantime, I'm glad that you're no longer running into the issue. Can you please post here again if you run into the problem again?

Hi, I'm now getting the same error, didn't get it a week ago though...
