Has anyone tried to import a CSV with balance sheet data?

I would like to use Quantopia in order to filter through financial statements and not buy stocks but place orders and not fill them. i.e. make recommendations. Is it possible to import a CSV containing balance sheet data and analyze it using Quantopia and backtest an algorithm actually buying those recommendations? Basically can I do a DCF for multiple stocks at once and trade around the outcome of the DCF?

Hi Blake,

You can use Fetcher to import any external CSV into your algo. You can use the data as a signal to guide your stock decisions and log the relevant output. Recently we also implemented the ability to set a custom universe with Fetcher, which you can read about here. I hope this is what you're looking for, but if not, can you provide me with more context to help you out?

Cheers,
Alisa
