Please note that in your get_fundamentals query you are including fundamentals.valuation.market_cap twice.
Once you remove it, the error will go away :)

Thanks! I had not noticed I had it in there twice, but it does actually seem broken to error out for it being in there twice. Why wouldn't it just ignore the second reference to the field or essentially just override the first instance of it? Or if that's really an issue, why not check for that in the Python code somewhere and throw a sane error message telling me that I have duplicate items in the query before it even tries to submit the query to the back end? In any case, the current behavior still seems broken to me.
I agree that we could provide a better error here or handle this situation in a more forgiving fashion. We might be at the mercy of SQLAlchemy's handling of the situation but I'd have to dig deeper to find the root cause of the rough error response.
