Geographic Diversity in the Quantopian Community

Contest Q Updates

Hi everyone,

We’re thrilled that Quantopian members are joining from across the globe: the Quantopian community recently expanded to over 300K registered members from 201 countries and all 7 continents (yes, including Antarctica!). 59% of the community is based internationally (outside of the US).

The daily contest reflects this global reach. In late September, we welcomed our first daily contest winner from Zimbabwe, making it the 33rd country represented in the contest leaderboard. Yesterday alone, the leaderboard had winners from 9 countries: the US, Canada, Japan (two winners), Mongolia, Zimbabwe, Denmark, Italy, and India.

This is a great moment to celebrate the geographic diversity of the Quantopian community. Seeing you all engage in dialogue, collaboration, and competition across borders reflects Quantopian's mission and is a testament to the reach of the Quantopian community.

This diversity carries into the contest, the contest leaderboard, and our fund author pool. The following map shows which countries are represented in each subset of the community:
