How would I develop a pipeline, with all futures that are available at Quantopian as initial filter? Is there a custom filter for a future Universe compareable to custom equity filters ?

Unfortunately, futures are not yet available in Pipeline. However, since there are only 72 futures, you can probably re-create a similar dynamic universe selection. For convenience, I copied out the set of futures in the Quantopian database as a dictionary keyed by high level type.
I hope this helps as a workaround.

thanks! But why isn't it possible to create a custom filter using your dictionary and then use this filter as part of a pipeline?
Futures haven't yet been integrated in the Pipeline API. It's on our list to make it easier to run cross sectional filters/factors on a futures universe, probably by adding them in Pipeline, we just haven't had the time to do it yet.
