Frustration Elimination Request: Add the ability to download log output as a file

I gather a lot of data about the positions I am entering, with the goal of identifying which components are correlated with positive returns. I currently "print" a large number of comma-separated values of standard indicators and my custom metrics.

The frustration begins when I try to copy these values into a spreadsheet to perform data analysis. If I am careful, diligent, and patient, I can successfully copy all the lines that I am allowed. After doing this a few times, I am no longer careful, diligent, and patient.

Can you please let us simply download a CSV text file? You have already given us the permission to this data, but you make us jump through hoops to get it!

Thanks for listening.

I think I can offer a better idea - importing backtest logs and live trading logs into research. We haven't built it yet, but it's in the queue (and I've added your +1). We can't allow you to download the data in a CSV because our data vendors wouldn't be too pleased. While we can't redistribute the data, we can allow you to further explore your analysis (and logs) in the research environment. And we're moving towards that goal.

Thanks, Alisa. I think Research might enable me to accomplish my goals. I'll have to invest (many) more hours to increase my skills with that tool. :)

Is this possible to analyze logs in Research now?
